New Songs Mark a Return

Guns N’ Roses have released two new songs titled “Nothin'” and “Atlas,” their first new music in two years. Fans can listen to both songs below. Even though the songs are newly released, both tracks go back to the sessions for the 2008 album Chinese Democracy. Each song shows a different side of the band, mixing past elements with their modern style.

“Nothin'” starts with a mellow sound that includes bright keyboard melodies and Axl Rose’s emotional vocals. As the track builds, it turns into a full power ballad with soaring choruses and a blues-style solo from Slash. The mix of softer parts and heavy rock shows the band’s familiar sound with a fresh touch.

Inside the Tracks

The second track, “Atlas,” leans into a ’90s alternative rock style. It features sharp guitar leads, fast drum-and-bass grooves, and another big, catchy chorus. While it has the grit of classic Guns N’ Roses, the structure and tone reflect a different era in rock. The blend gives the song a unique place in their catalog.

“Nothin'” and “Atlas” will be available for preorder on Dec. 12 in several formats. Fans can get the songs on a 7″ vinyl, a store-exclusive cassette, and a Japan-exclusive SHM-CD. The special releases highlight the excitement around the band’s return and give collectors multiple options.

Post-Reunion Releases

The release of these two tracks brings Guns N’ Roses’ total number of post-reunion songs to six. Before this, the band released “The General” in December 2023 as the B-side to “Perhaps,” which came out in August 2023. They also released “Hard Skool” and “Absurd” in 2021. All six songs feature the core trio from the classic era: Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.

Fans can expect to hear both “Nothin’” and “Atlas” during the band’s 2026 North American tour. The tour will run from July through September. A press release for the tour said the songs will “join ‘The General’ and ‘Perhaps’ as vital additions to set lists otherwise featuring all the classic hits and deep cut fan favorites from GNR’s early catalog.”

Future Plans

Many fans are asking whether Guns N’ Roses will release a full album anytime soon. The band has a long list of unreleased material, but there are no clear signs of a finished album on the way. Slash recently told Guitar World, “There’s so much material at this point, it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it.” He added that planning ahead rarely works, saying, “Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.”
