Graham Nash recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) reunion, and it doesn’t look likely.
In a candid interview with Rolling Stone, Nash said he doesn’t see much point in reuniting the remaining members—himself, Stephen Stills, and Neil Young—without the late David Crosby. Nash said:
“I don’t think me, Stephen, and Neil will ever play together again.
“There’s no heart there. David was the center of it all, as crazy as he was. And my God, he was crazy. But he was the heart of this band. If we played together again, people would miss Crosby. We would miss Crosby. It would be a much colder scene.”
Nash Admits Missing David Crosby Every Day
Nash admitted that he misses Crosby deeply and chooses to focus on their good times together. He said:
“I really miss him.
“I miss him more every day because life is about choices, and I choose to remember the good times we had and the music we made. I don’t want to dwell on the bad things.”
Despite the ups and downs of their relationship, Nash emphasized that their bond and the music they created together was something special, and Crosby’s absence leaves a noticeable void.
Stills and Young Reunions
While a full CSNY reunion seems off the table, Stills and Young have reunited a few times. They played together in 2023 at the Light Up the Blues charity show alongside Crosby’s son, James Raymond, whose voice Nash described as eerily similar to his father’s. More recently, Stills and Young performed at the 2024 Harvest Moon charity concert in California.
Reflecting on these reunions, Stills said:
“I’ve always had fun playing David’s songs. Now, with James, we can still get those chords, which were always a bit of a mystery.”
