Our Thoughts And Prayers Are With Gene…

Just a few hours ago, Paul Stanley of KISS broke the heartbreaking news that Florence Lubowski, mother of Gene Simmons, passed away at the age of 92. As of right now we do not know the cause of death. Paul Stanley wrote a touching tribute in his tweet to her that reads as follows…

“Gene’s mother, Florence Lubowski, has passed away. I knew her as long as I’ve known Gene. Beyond her fierce love and pride in her only child, she was his inspiration to live up to being worthy of the sacrifices she made in a very difficult and, at times, horrific life.

A holocaust survivor, she fought for all she had, and her fierce protection and pride in Gene made her someone to be feared, admired and loved. I will miss her laugh and smile.

Let us all say a prayer for her, Gene and his family.”

Gene’s wife Shannon Tweed Simmons also posted an emotional tribute to Florence on Facebook.

Over the duration of his storied career, Gene has spoken constantly about his mother and how much she meant to him. He often refers to her as his “greatest inspiration”. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gene and family during this truly sad time. RIP Florence Lubowski.
