Gene Hackman, the legendary Hollywood actor, has been found dead at 95 in his Santa Fe home, along with his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 63, and one of their pet dogs. According to a police search warrant, they were discovered in separate rooms and appeared to have been “dead for some time.”
Initially, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza stated that foul play wasnโt suspected, but an affidavit later ruled the deaths “suspicious,” prompting further investigation. Hackman was one of Hollywoodโs most celebrated actors, known for classics like The French Connection, The Conversation, and Superman. He won two Academy Awards for The French Connection and Unforgiven before stepping away from acting after The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001.
