Christine McVie, the legendary Fleetwood Mac singer, passed away in November 2022 at the age of 79. Her family had released a statement at the time of her passing, revealing that she had died peacefully in hospital following a short illness. It has been revealed that Christine died after suffering an ‘ischaemic stroke.’

Christine was responsible for some of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits, including “Songbird,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Little Lies.” Her death sparked an outpouring of tributes, with her bandmates describing her as “truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.”

Fleetwood Mac, founded in London in 1967, became one of the most successful groups ever, selling over 100 million records worldwide. Despite its tumultuous history, the band became one of the best-known rock bands of the 1970s and 80s, comprising Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McVie, as well as Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

Rumours, perhaps their best-known album released in 1977, became one of the best-selling albums of all time and included hits such as “You Make Loving Fun.” Despite leaving the band in 1998, Christine returned in 2014, cementing her place as one of the greatest musicians of all time. Her music and legacy continue to inspire and influence generations of musicians and fans alike.
