Ozzy Osbourne wasn’t just the Prince of Darkness—he was also a regular scene-stealer on TV and in movies. Long before and after The Osbournes made him a household name, Ozzy popped up in some pretty unexpected places. From comedy cameos to voiceover gigs, the metal legend knew how to make an entrance. With his passing at 76, let’s take a fun look back at 11 Ozzy appearances you might’ve totally forgotten.

Movies

Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
Ozzy appears with Sharon, Kelly, and Jack in a hilarious scene poking fun at the movie itself. Watching Austin Powers on screen, he grumbles, “They’re using the same fucking joke they used in the last Austin Powers movie.” Then he calls the filmmakers “boobs.” It’s classic Ozzy—grumpy, blunt, and totally in on the joke.

Ghostbusters (2016)
Ozzy makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo during a chaotic concert scene. He appears just long enough to look confused as a rock band flails on stage. Unfortunately, not even Ozzy could save the scene—or the movie—from falling flat.

The Jerky Boys (1995)
In this oddball comedy, Ozzy plays the manager of alt-metal band Helmet. The band later shared, “We took the gig to meet one of our all-time musical heroes.” Forget the movie—meeting Ozzy was the real highlight.

Little Nicky (2000)
This Adam Sandler film gave Ozzy one of his most unforgettable cameos. Let’s just say it involves a bat and a perfect nod to his wild past. You can probably guess what happens, and yes—it’s as ridiculous as you’d expect.

Private Parts (1997)
Ozzy only says four words in Howard Stern’s biopic, but filming took nearly a full day. “To do one thing, it takes like three years,” he later told Stern. It turns out acting wasn’t as easy as biting heads off fake bats.

Trick or Treat (1986)
Ozzy plays against type as a preacher denouncing rock music in this metal-themed horror flick. With a slicked-over hairstyle and buttoned-up look, he’s nearly unrecognizable—until you hear that unmistakable voice calling rock stars “out and out sick people.”

TV

Bubble Guppies (2015)
Ozzy Osbourne surprised everyone by popping up in the world of kids’ cartoons. He voiced Sid Fishy, a villain in Bubble Guppies, showing he could rock even in the preschool world. It was part of his growing interest in voice acting for family-friendly shows and animated films. Who knew the Prince of Darkness could also rule children’s TV?

Coal Chamber’s “Loco” Music Video (1997)
Back when music videos were still a major deal, Ozzy made a wild appearance in Coal Chamber’s “Loco.” He played a creepy ice cream truck driver who hands band members a View-Master that zaps them into surreal scenes. It’s spooky, chaotic, and very ‘90s. Ozzy’s cameo added just the right amount of weirdness to the nu metal video.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2013)
In this episode of CSI, Ozzy and the rest of Black Sabbath (minus drummer Bill Ward) performed “End of the Beginning” from their album 13. The band plays live in the background while the show’s characters chase down clues. Later, Ozzy pops up in a brief scene for a slightly awkward but memorable album promo. It’s a rare and fun TV moment for Sabbath fans.

Parker Lewis Can’t Lose (1990)
In the first season of this zany ‘90s teen comedy, Ozzy makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo. During one of the show’s quick camera swings, he warns the crew, “Don’t bite my head off!” It’s a perfect nod to his infamous bat moment—and fits the show’s offbeat humor perfectly.

South Park (1998)
Ozzy made an animated appearance in Season 2’s Chef Aid special. He performs at a benefit concert for Chef and, yes, bites a head again. This time, though, it’s not a bat—it’s something even stranger. Leave it to South Park to take a classic Ozzy joke and give it a bizarre new twist.
