Concert Film and Album Set for Global Release

David Gilmour is bringing his 2024 Luck and Strange tour to fans around the world in a new way. He will release a concert film, Live at the Circus Maximus, along with a full live album this September and October. The film captures his performance at Rome’s historic Circus Maximus, one of the first shows of the tour — his first in nearly ten years.

The film will premiere worldwide on September 17 for a limited time in cinemas and IMAX, through Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing. It was directed by longtime collaborator Gavin Elder and features the stage lit against Rome’s ancient ruins, offering a striking setting for Gilmour’s return.

Multiple Formats With Extras

Live at the Circus Maximus will also be released as a 2 Blu-ray and 3 DVD set on October 17. The packages include bonus content, with tour rehearsals, documentaries, and official music videos. The Blu-ray version offers audio in stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos for a full sound experience.

Alongside the film, The Luck and Strange Concerts live album will also be released on the same day. It features 23 songs recorded at different tour stops and blends solo material from Luck and Strange with classic Pink Floyd tracks like “Wish You Were Here,” “Comfortably Numb,” “Time,” and “Sorrow.”

Physical Releases and Deluxe Editions

Fans will have multiple ways to enjoy the music, with options including a 4 LP vinyl set and a 2CD version, both with a 24-page booklet. A super deluxe box set will include all audio formats, both Blu-ray and DVD versions, and a 120-page hardcover photo book titled David Gilmour Luck and Strange Live, filled with images taken by Polly Samson during the tour.

The deluxe set also features collectible memorabilia such as postcard sheets, sticker sheets, a setlist sheet, a double-sided poster, and an 8-page credits booklet — all housed in special packaging with a custom embossed stamp.
