David Gilmour Drops New Live Video for “Luck and Strange”

David Gilmour, the iconic former Pink Floyd guitarist and vocalist, has unveiled another track from his upcoming live album and concert film, both titled Luck and Strange. The song, the title track from his 2024 studio album, offers a glimpse into the dynamic performances captured during his recent tour.

Live at the Circus Maximus Brings the Tour to the Big Screen

Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome will premiere in theaters and IMAX on September 17. Following the film release, The Luck and Strange Concerts live album will drop on October 17, accompanied by Blu-ray and DVD editions of the concert film. The recordings highlight the early dates of Gilmour’s 23-show tour in support of Luck and Strange, which launched shortly after the studio album’s September 2024 release. The legendary guitarist played six sold-out shows at Rome’s historic Circus Maximus, with the live album compiled from select performances throughout the tour.

A Deluxe Package for Fans and Collectors

For dedicated fans, a Super Deluxe box set of The Luck and Strange Concerts will be available, featuring a 120-page hardcover book filled with exclusive photos taken by Gilmour’s wife and collaborator, Polly Samson. The live album will also be offered in two-CD and four-LP formats, catering to collectors and audiophiles alike.

The tracklist spans Gilmour’s expansive career, including recent songs such as “The Piper’s Call” and “Between Two Points,” earlier solo material like “5 A.M.” and “In Any Tongue,” alongside timeless Pink Floyd classics including “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb.”

More Than Just a Concert Film

In addition to the live performance footage, the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Live at the Circus Maximus will feature bonus content, including tour rehearsal footage, backstage moments, and music videos from the Luck and Strange album.
