Dave Grohl’s daughters appear to have deactivated their Instagram accounts after their father’s announcement about becoming a parent to a child outside his marriage.

On September 10, the Foo Fighters frontman shared a statement on his Instagram, revealing that he recently welcomed a baby daughter with someone other than his wife, Jordyn Blum.

Grohl wrote:

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Violet and Harper Deactivate Instagram Accounts

Shortly after Grohl’s post, it appears that two of his daughters, Violet, 18, and Harper, 15, deactivated their Instagram accounts. Violet’s account, previously under the username ‘viioletgrohl’ with around 225,000 followers, now shows as unavailable. Similarly, Harper’s account, which was listed under ‘harpergrohll’ and had over 40,000 followers, also appears deactivated. According to People, Violet’s account went offline about an hour after Grohl made his announcement, but it’s unclear exactly when both sisters removed their profiles.

Violet, like her father, has a passion for music and has performed with the Foo Fighters, including a memorable appearance at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival. During the performance, Grohl introduced her by saying, “My favorite singer in the world.” Before they played “Show Me How,” a track from their album But Here We Are, he added, “This is a song I wrote for my mother, Violet’s grandmother.” After their performance, he proudly exclaimed, “That’s my girl!”

Grohl’s Marital History

Grohl and Jordyn Blum have been married for over 20 years, meeting at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in Los Angeles in 2001. They married on August 2, 2003, and have three daughters together: Violet, Harper, and Ophelia Saint, who is 10 years old. The couple was recently seen enjoying a day out at Wimbledon in July. Grohl was previously married to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in the ’90s, but they divorced in 1997 due to reported infidelity issues.
