We’re With You Paris
Although it has been an exciting few months for band Coldplay, set to release their new album out in December, the awful attacks in Paris caused a change of schedule and initiated a moment of silence for those that have lost their lives and their loved ones to the senseless and cruel attacks taken place last week.
After playing old hits “Sparks” and “Fix You,” Coldplay’s Chris Martin to the mic to cover one of the greatest odes to peace our world has ever known- John Lennon’s “Imagine.” We understand that this is a classic rock page and bands on the more modern side do not tend to catch your eye, however, Chris Martin is one of the true and real voices of the generation.
Consumed with grief, the band delivered an absolutely flawless rendition of “Imagine” in which the crowd was completely silent to mourn, reflect and move on together.
Please enjoy this extremely intimate and touching performance and #PrayForParis
+ Imagine Lyrics +
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
