A New Year, a New Tour

Cheap Trick is once again preparing for a busy run of live shows, continuing a schedule that has kept them closely tied to the stage for decades. The band will launch their next stretch of dates on January 24 in Madison, Wisconsin. They will also be touring behind new material, with their album All Washed Up serving as the center of the upcoming trek. According to the band, the record finds them sounding “particularly resilient.”

So far, 21 shows have been announced for the All Washed Up tour. An artist presale began on November 18 with the password CTLIVE, while general tickets will be released on Friday, November 21, at 10 a.m. Details and updates are available on the band’s official website.

A Special Pair of Shows in Las Vegas

Cheap Trick has performed in many different formats over the years, but Las Vegas has often been the site of some of their most unique concerts. In the past, they even staged a residency built around the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, performing the entire album live.

This time, the group will shift the spotlight back to their own work. During their upcoming Vegas stop, the band will perform their classic 1978 live album, Cheap Trick at Budokan, in full. They plan to play the original track sequence as it appears on the record, offering fans a chance to experience the band’s breakthrough live release in a rare, complete form. After the album set, they will return for an additional performance featuring many of their most well-known songs.
