CEO of Anheuser-Busch Speaks Out Amid Bud Light Backlash

It’s no secret that Anheuser-Busch has been at the center of controversy recently, with it’s partnership with trans-activist Dylan Mulvaney. There have been multiple public figures speak out against it such as Ted Nugent, Travis Tritt, and more notably Kid Rock with his Instagram video of him shooting boxes of Bud Light.
After a few days of silence from Anheuser-Busch regarding all the viral stories going around, the CEO finally released a statement via Twitter and goes like this:

“We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people.” CEO Brendan Whitworth says.
“We are in the business of bringing people together over beer.”
There has been major backlash to the partnership with Dylan Mulvaney. Some people could care less, while some wonder what the true intentions of this marketing campaign were to begin with.
One thing to note is, in the statement, Whitworth never actually mentioned the name “Dylan Mulvaney”.
