It’s a big news day
It’s official! Today, Mick Jagger and ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick welcomed a baby boy into the world. The child is the couple’s first together, but Mick’s eighth! Mick’s seven other children’s ages range from 16-46, and the rocker also has five grand children. The couple released a statement regarding the news.
“Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York and they are both delighted. Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”– the statement read.
The media was making a big deal out of the couple’s age gap. Mick is 73 years old, while Melanie is only 29. The 44 year age gap was widely criticized, and drew even more criticism from the amount of money Mick was planning on giving Melanie and their son. At the end of the day, it shouldn’t really matter, as long as Mick, Melanie and the baby are happy.
