Bon Jovi are officially hitting the road again for the first time since frontman Jon Bon Jovi underwent major vocal surgery in 2022. The New Jersey rock icons announced on October 22 that they’ll return to the stage for a series of high-profile shows beginning next summer.
The band will play four nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City in July 2026, followed by a run of UK and Ireland dates in Edinburgh, Dublin, and London throughout August and September.
Pre-Sales and Ticket Information
Fans eager to secure tickets early can access pre-sales for the UK and Ireland shows by pre-ordering the deluxe “Legendary Edition” of Bon Jovi’s 2024 album, Forever, which is set to arrive on October 24. Registration for the New York pre-sale is available through the band’s official website. All pre-sales open on October 27, with general sales beginning on October 31.
Jon Bon Jovi on His Recovery and Return
In a statement, the frontman expressed his excitement about finally returning to the stage after a prolonged period of recovery.
“There is a lot of joy in this announcement – joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said. “I am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience – I get to stand in the WE of our concerts.”
He continued:
“I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring. I’m ready and excited!”
These upcoming shows will mark Bon Jovi’s first UK and Ireland performances since 2019 and their first return to Madison Square Garden since two sold-out concerts in May 2018. The band first played the legendary New York venue back in September 1983, opening for ZZ Top.
From Surgery to Comeback
Bon Jovi’s last full tour took place in spring 2022, but shortly afterward, Jon revealed he had undergone medialisation surgery to strengthen his vocal cords after doctors discovered one had begun to atrophy.
After nearly two years away from the stage, he made his comeback in February 2024, performing at the MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony held in his honor. The following month, he admitted he was “still recovering” and unsure if the band would ever tour again.
By April 2024, his outlook had improved. “I’m well into the recovery and more than capable of singing,” he told fans, though he emphasized that his personal benchmark remained high:
“The bar is two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I say we’re going to go and do any shows.”
Forever and Beyond
Bon Jovi’s latest album, Forever, arrived in June 2024 via Island Records, marking their first new release in four years. The record received positive reviews, including an 8/10 rating from Classic Rock’s Philip Wilding, who praised it as a sign that the band was “heading in the right direction again.”
A “Legendary Edition” of Forever, announced in August, will feature new versions of the album’s songs recorded with a lineup of notable guest artists, including Robbie Williams, Jelly Roll, Bruce Springsteen, Avril Lavigne, and Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott.
With Jon Bon Jovi’s voice rejuvenated and the band’s classic lineup ready to hit the stage again, 2026 is shaping up to be a triumphant new chapter for one of rock’s most enduring acts.
