Bon Jovi Teams Up With Bruce Springsteen, Jason Isbell and More for ‘Revamped’ Forever Album

A New Version of Forever

Bon Jovi has announced a new edition of their 2024 album Forever, which will feature collaborations with a wide list of well-known artists. The project, titled Forever (Legendary Edition), is set for release on October 24 through Island Records. Among the names joining the band are Bruce Springsteen, Jason Isbell, Lainey Wilson, and Marcus King, bringing together voices from different corners of the music world.

Other featured guests include Jelly Roll, Robbie Williams, Ryan Tedder, Billy Falcon, The War and Treaty, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, Avril Lavigne, and Carín León. The updated release opens with a brand-new track called “Red, White & Jersey,” before moving into fresh versions of all 12 songs from the original 2024 album.

Recording and Background

The original Forever marked Bon Jovi’s first studio album since 2020. Recording sessions took place in Nashville’s Ocean Way studio and at Multiview in Los Angeles. For the band, the project became more than just another release—it grew into a way of reconnecting with both fans and fellow musicians.

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi shared his thoughts about the new edition in a press release. He explained, “This album is more than just a collection of collaborations; it is an album borne out of necessity. My vocal cord rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in 2024. I was singing well in the studio for recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still slightly out of reach for me. Without an ability to tour at that time, I continued working in the studio and called on some friends, great singers, artists, musicians and also just great people.”

A Spirit of Collaboration

Jon continued, “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit – a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends. I feel tremendous joy and gratitude in releasing this album, and I think it shows in the music. I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”

To give fans an early taste, Bon Jovi will release “Red, White & Jersey” along with a reworked version of “Hollow Man” featuring Bruce Springsteen on Friday, August 29.
