Axl Rose Shocks Crowd With His Reply to Fan’s Deep-Cut Request at Guns N’ Roses Show

During a recent stop on Guns N’ Roses’ Latin American tour, frontman Axl Rose took a moment to respond to a fan who shouted for a rarely performed track from the band’s classic debut, Appetite for Destruction.
The tour kicked off on October 1, and at their October 21 show in Florianópolis, Brazil, one particularly enthusiastic fan kept calling out for the deep cut “Think About You” between songs. As the band roamed the stage, Rose finally acknowledged the persistent request — and turned it into a moment of humor.
“I heard that request, but we haven’t played that in a while,” Rose told the crowd. “But I just want to say it made me think. I had Chinese food today and I got a fortune cookie that gave me a Chinese fortune in Brazilian Portuguese that told me to think about life.”
As the crowd erupted in laughter and applause, the singer punctuated his story with a trademark bit of attitude:
“I kind of went, fuck that!”
The Long Absence of “Think About You”
According to Setlist.fm, Guns N’ Roses last performed “Think About You” back in 2006. The track had reappeared fairly regularly in their live shows between 2001 and 2006, but had not been played since 1987, before that run.
This means Axl Rose hasn’t performed the song alongside Slash and Duff McKagan in nearly 38 years. In fact, it remains the only song from Appetite for Destruction that the reunited lineup hasn’t revisited since Slash and McKagan rejoined the band in 2016.
Other deep cuts from the same album — including “Out Ta Get Me,” “My Michelle,” and “Anything Goes” — have all resurfaced in recent setlists throughout 2025.
Will “Think About You” Return to the Setlist?
In recent years, Guns N’ Roses have made a point of digging deeper into their catalog. Songs like “Dead Horse,” “Locomotive,” “So Fine,” “Pretty Tied Up,” and their cover of “Down on the Farm” have all made surprise appearances, delighting longtime fans.
Given the renewed interest in the band’s lesser-played material, it’s not out of the question that “Think About You” could make its return to the stage soon.
With five more shows left on their 2025 tour, fans can keep track of upcoming dates — and perhaps watch for that long-lost Appetite gem — at gunsnroses.com.
