Art Garfunkel Announces US and Europe Tour Dates

A Busy Year

Legendary rocker Art Garfunkel is bringing his “In Close-Up Tour” to Europe and the US. His 2020 trek just kicked off on February 11 in Rocky Mount, VA and it will wrap up on December 7 in Erfurt, DE. He will play in Maryland, Florida, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Wisconsin before he heads off to Europe for a series of shows in Denmark, Germany, and The Netherlands. He will perform Simon & Garfunkel classic songs, his solo hits, and some covers. Additionally, he will read excerpts from his 2019 book titled “What Is It All but Luminous: Notes from an Underground Man.”

Speaking to Nashville Scene, he said: “I don’t look at it as a tour. I just look at it as: ‘This is what I do.’ I go out on the road and I do shows, usually on the weekend. Are they tours? They’re mini-tours. This is my life. I sing; I have a booking agent; he finds me stages; and I go all over the world and I do my shows. I love it. And you do these famous songs, you earn your pay and move on to the next town – I like this.”
