For the first time since they ceased touring last year, Aerosmith will perform live. The iconic rock quartet will make a comeback at Steven Tyler’s 6th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party, which will take place on February 2 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. In addition to Aerosmith, fans can expect performances by Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, Nuno Bettencourt, and Billy Idol. Actor-comedian Tiffany Haddish will host the event.

A Special Night for a Cause

Tyler’s charity, Janie’s Fund, supports girls who have experienced abuse and neglect, so this is more than simply a show. Additionally, the proceeds will benefit the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighters Fund and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

Tyler shared his passion for the cause in a heartfelt statement:

“What the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable. Music has healing powers, and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires. The trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable, and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janie’s Fund.”

While the press release confirms the attendance of Tyler, Joe Perry, and Tom Hamilton, there’s no mention of rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford. Drummer Joey Kramer, who hasn’t been performing with the band in recent years, also isn’t expected to participate.

Tyler’s Recovery and Aerosmith’s Future

Following Tyler’s vocal damage on their final tour, Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring in August 2023. The band’s final performance was scheduled for September 9, 2023, at UBS Arena in New York, but they were forced to postpone the remaining performances.

In a recent interview, Hamilton shared an update on Tyler’s progress:

“Steven’s healing process is going really, really well, but it goes at its own pace. Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but it’s a big if, and the last thing I want is to push Steven in that direction.”

Fans can purchase tickets to this special event, which supports incredible causes. Over 100 firefighters will be honored guests, making it an unforgettable night.
