Aerosmith and Yungblud have officially announced their first collaborative single, “My Only Angel,” following their joint appearance at last weekend’s MTV VMAs tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. The track, which is now available for presave, marks a major return for Aerosmith and a bold crossover move for Yungblud.

On Monday, both artists teased the track on social media with a behind-the-scenes video from the studio. The clip shows Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and Yungblud in a vocal booth, passionately delivering the song’s emotional refrain: “Will you cry if I call you my angel? / Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you one more time.”

The teaser ends with a lighthearted moment between the two artists—Yungblud plants a kiss on Tyler’s cheek, prompting the legendary singer to exclaim, “Nice! Fuckin’ A!”

Aerosmith’s First New Music in Over a Decade

“My Only Angel” represents a significant moment in Aerosmith’s career, as it’s their first new release since their 2012 album Music From Another Dimension! The band has largely been inactive since halting their Peace Out farewell tour in 2023 due to a vocal injury Tyler sustained early in the run.

While Tyler has made a few sporadic appearances since then, including a surprise performance at Ozzy Osbourne’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert in July, this new single is the group’s first official step back into the spotlight. At that July event, Tyler performed “Train Kept A-Rollin’,” “Walk This Way,” and a rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” Yungblud also took the stage, delivering a standout performance of Black Sabbath’s “Changes.”

VMAs Tribute Sets the Stage

Their VMAs performance further fueled anticipation for the new single. As part of a star-studded Ozzy Osbourne tribute, Yungblud joined Tyler and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, alongside Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt. Yungblud opened the segment with snippets of “Crazy Train” and “Changes” before teaming up with Tyler and Perry for a moving rendition of “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”

“My Only Angel” is shaping up to be a powerful cross-generational anthem—blending Aerosmith’s timeless rock flair with Yungblud’s raw, emotional energy. Fans can expect a full release soon, as buzz around the track continues to build.
