Aerosmith is back — and this time, they’re not alone. The iconic rock band has announced One More Time, a five-track EP set to arrive on November 21, marking their first new music release in over ten years. The project features a surprise collaborator: British punk provocateur Yungblud.
The lead single, titled “My Only Angel,” will drop this Friday, giving fans the first taste of what’s to come. Preorders for the EP are already available.
Born from a Tribute to Ozzy
The collaboration was first teased earlier this week with a clip of Steven Tyler and Yungblud trading vocals in the studio. Their creative partnership appears to have been sparked by recent shared appearances honoring the late Ozzy Osbourne.
Last week, Tyler, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, and Yungblud performed Osbourne’s 1991 ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home” onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards. The performance followed another emotional tribute at Osbourne’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert, where Yungblud delivered a powerful cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” while Tyler ran through hard rock staples like “Train Kept A-Rollin’,” “Walk This Way,” and Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”
The mutual admiration between the rock legends and the genre-bending Yungblud seems to have created an unexpected but electric musical chemistry.
A Comeback After the Silence
One More Time marks Aerosmith’s first new material since their 2012 album Music From Another Dimension!, a period during which the band largely stepped away from recording. It’s also the first major announcement from the group since they canceled their Peace Out farewell tour last year.
Initially launched in 2023, the tour was halted after just three shows due to Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury, which forced the band to scrap the remaining dates and effectively step back from the road. With this new EP, however, Aerosmith signals they’re not quite done yet.
Whether One More Time is a final encore or the beginning of a new chapter remains to be seen — but one thing is certain: Aerosmith isn’t fading quietly.
