Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses – “Mama Kin” and “Train Kept A-Rollin'” Live

Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses – “Mama Kin” and “Train Kept A-Rollin'” Live | Society Of Rock Videos

Is There Anything More Epic Than This?

In this live performance, Guns N’ Roses rocks alongside Aerosmith to two chart-topping tracks: “Mama Kin” and “Train Kept A-Rollin'” This jam is insane! The solos are just as incredible; even though “Train Kept A-Rollin'” was originally sung by Tiny Bradshaw, Aerosmith’s version was successful in bringing it to the mainstream.

Of “‘Train Kept A-Rollin'”, Joe Perry recalls, “‘Train Kept A-Rollin” was the only song we had in common when we first got together. Steven’s band had played ‘Train’ and Tom and I played it in our band … I always thought if I could just play one song, it would be that one because of what it does to me.”

A huge concert favorite, they would often close out gigs with it and later recorded two studio versions. Written and released in 1973, “Mama Kin” is another favorite you can see performed live!

This is one collaboration you wouldn’t want to miss!

+ “Mama Kin LYRICS +

It ain’t easy, livin’ like a gypsy.
Tell ya, honey, how I feel.
I’ve been dreaming,
Floatin’ down stream and
Losin’ touch with all that is real.
Whole earth lover, keepin’ under cover
Never knowin’ where ya been.
You’ve been fadin’, always out paradin.
Keepin’ touch with Mama Kin.

Well you’ve always got your tail on the wag.
Shootin’ fire from your mouth just like a dragon.
You act like a perpertual drag.
You better check it out,
Or someday soon you’ll have to climb back on the wagon.

It ain’t easy, livin’ like ya wanna,
And it’s so hard to find piece of mind. Yes it is.
The way I see it, you’ve got to say shit.
But don’t forget to drop me a line.

Said you’re as bald as an egg at eighteen.
And workin’ for you dad is just a drag.
He still stuffs your mouth with your dreams.
You better check it out,
Or someday soon you’ll have to climb back on the wagon.

Keepin’ touch with Mama Kin.
Tell her where you’ve gone and been.
Livin’ out your fantasy,
Sleeping late and smoking tea.
[repeat once]
