AC/DC is bringing the thunder back to where it all began! The legendary rock band has announced a long-awaited return to Australia this winter with five massive shows planned. The tour kicks off on November 12 in Melbourne and wraps up on December 14 in Brisbane.
The last time AC/DC rocked their home soil was in 2015, during the Rock or Bust tour. Formed in Sydney in 1973, their very first gig was on New Year’s Eve at a club called Chequers. (Fun fact: Journey also played their debut show that very night, 7,400 miles away in San Francisco!)
Touring the Globe Before Coming Home
Before they land back in Australia, AC/DC is hitting the stage worldwide. On May 28, they closed out a 13-date North American tour with a packed show in Cleveland. And starting June 26, they’ll launch a 15-show European run, ending August 21 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The band’s current touring lineup includes original lead guitarist Angus Young and longtime frontman Brian Johnson, joined by Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Chris Chaney on bass, and Matt Laug on drums.
