A Movie Tie-In, Perhaps?

The Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson’s documentary about The Beatles might be out this October – this comes after The Daily Beatle spotted what might be a companion book on Amazon. Titled Get Back: The Beatles, it’s set for release on October 15, 2020. A reader named John Bezzini reached out to the publisher for more information and was told that it’s “the authorized story of the making of the “Let it Be” album and the Beatles’ break-up, told through exclusive photographs, transcripts of the recording sessions, and an essay by Hanif Kureishi. The book will be the companion to the film directed by Peter Jackson, both released next fall (exact date to be announced).”

The book is available for pre-order on Amazon at $35.12.

Speaking about Get Back, Paul McCartney said in Anthology: “The idea was that you’d see the Beatles rehearsing, jamming, getting their act together and then finally performing somewhere in a big end-of-show concert. We would show how the whole process worked. I remember I had an idea for the final scene, which would be a massive tracking shot, forever and ever, and then we’d be in the concert.”

Other details about the book and movie are yet to be announced.
