Needs More Love
While Boston is not exactly the greatest band of all time, we just can’t imagine classic rock without their music. Their songs remain staples in radio stations. With multi-instrumentalist and tech whiz Tom Scholz at the helm, they’ve had a string of hits in the ’70s and ’80s. They also sold over 75 million records worldwide. Their self-titled debut album was a huge success but because of the length of time in between their LPs, some people lost interest.
Nevertheless, these are some fan favorites.
5. Something About You
Boston was ahead of their time and the proof is in the pudding. The upbeat tune and vocal performance, everything is superb. It’s one of those songs you HAVE to play loud.
4. Surrender To Me
With that explosive intro, there’s so much to love about it. That guitar part alone is stellar. It’s also criminally underrated.
3. Hitch A Ride
Starts out melodic and beautiful before the drums kick in. The harmonies and even the chord changes, Scholz’s genius shone through with this.
2. Hollyann
A beautiful, smooth ballad – it took six years to finish. Lyrically and musically, this stands out in their catalog and yet it didn’t get enough appreciation.
1. Let Me Take You Home Tonight
Catchy and addicting, it makes you feel nostalgic and you just long for those days when music was this good.
