#1 AC/DC: Still Going Strong After 50 Years
Since forming in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, AC/DC has been one of the most exciting rock bands. These rock icons are still going strong more than 50 years later. Their most recent album, Power Up, was released in 2020, but they didn’t stop there. Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Stevie Young, Matt Laug, and Chris Chaney are all part of the band. They began their Power Up Tour in May 2024 and will be on the road until December.

In 2024, Johnson told Man In Town about life on tour, saying, “I’ve always been a lively person. I can’t stay still for long. It’s not easy to sing with AC/DC. It pushes you a lot and keeps you alive all the time. Also, when I see Angus on stage, I know that I have to give it my all right away.” Angus Young added, “The show feeds me, it’s fun in a way, and that’s what matters.”

#2 Chicago: Legends Still Playing the Music
Chicago, which formed in 1967, still plays their unique sound. Their most recent album, Chicago XXXVIII: Born for This Moment, was released in 2022. They have gigs planned across the U.S. until November 2025. Original members Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, and James Pankow are still touring, all nearing 80 years old!

Loughnane said on the UCR Podcast in January, “Who knows why [the fans] come to the show? People come to watch these guys who have been together for a long time. They want to come back when they find out we can still play well, and the show is extremely good. I think it’s mostly because of the music and how we always deliver year after year.”

#3 Eagles: Soaring High Into Their Fifth Decade
Eagles have been rocking since the 1970s. They haven’t released a new album since Long Road Out of Eden in 2007, but they still perform live. Their 2023 announcement of The Long Goodbye Tour promised a final farewell, with shows continuing into 2024.

However, that wasn’t the end of the story. The Eagles moved into the Sphere in Las Vegas in 2025. Don Henley is the sole original member of the group. He is joined by longtime comrades Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, as well as Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.
