The Scary Times Are Behind Him AND Us!

68 year old Tony Iommi, lead guitarist for Black Sabbath, was diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, relatively recently. Because of these health issues, Black Sabbath announced their final tour. However, things are looking ever so bright for the godfather of heavy metal. Birmingham Mail just broke the news that Tony Iommi is now in remission! This is just amazing new for him and his family. Here is some of what he had to say regarding the news.

“I came back to the hospital straight after we finished a round of European tour dates, and the good news is that everything is alright, up to this point. I’m in remission and hopefully this situation will continue. The chemotherapy and the follow up treatment appear to have done the trick, but I am aware that it could come back one day. I have a blood test every six weeks, and I will come in here at regular intervals for check ups. That’s something that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. They will be looking for any warning signs that it might be rearing its ugly head again. But the availability of a facility like the Specialist Care Centre makes it so much easier. They are all lovely here!”
