Surprise! Paul McCartney Shocks Desert Trip Crowd—Invites Special Guest On Stage For Amazing Duet!

“We finally found someone under the age of 50!”

The once in a lifetime weekend festival Desert Trip was a concert event no one will ever forget. Six amazing performers took to the stage for the 6 night, two weekend festival that was filled with nostalgia, love, and most importantly, good old rock n’ roll. As there is with any festival, Desert Trip was also filled with numerous surprises as well!

Beatles’ legend Paul McCartney took to the stage both Saturday nights of the festival, and, as always, brought incredible amounts of energy. About midway through his set, he calmed down the crowd and introduced a very special guest to join him on stage! Current pop-star Rhianna joined McCartney on stage for a duet of the song “FourFiveSeconds,” a song the two recorded together, with Kanye West, back in 2015. Kanye (thankfully) was not present for the performance, which left the two actual singers on the track to perform the duet.

This live version of the song sounded a lot more stripped down than the studio version, and both Rhianna and McCartney killed it with their phenomenal voices! It was truly a special moment that bridged the gap between two generations of talent.

Following the performance, McCartney joked to the Desert Trip crowd that they, “finally found someone under the age of 50!”
