It Sizzles Like No Other!
That was a freakin’ awesome tone. It’s one of the reasons why I love Stevie Ray Vaughan — he doesn’t hold back. Whenever I think of him and his live performances, I associate it with two words: intense and powerful. He’s ridiculously talented and over the years, it’s been proven that no one comes close to him. I repeat, NO ONE.
And his playing? John Mayer described it best:
“There are some people, and myself included, who given certain time of day, certain part of the set, certain culminating energy that happens in the room, you can play with that same intensity. But you can only do it for about 20 seconds. And then, your entire arm cramps up.”
That’s how forceful and energetic he is on the guitar. He has given us much to love and this little gem of music is yet another one. Perhaps we’ll never stop being blown away by Stevie Ray Vaughan. He’s a Guitar God, after all.
