With Stevie Ray Vaughan, there’s never a bad performance. His well-deserved induction to this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just made us miss him more. He has created amazing music and it’s amazing just how much talent there is in one man.

One of his most loved tracks, “Change It,” is a fan favorite simply because it contains all the basic SRV elements like stinging lead, powerhouse vocals and an unforgettable rhythmic shuffle. These things coupled with a great personality make up this legendary blues-rock musician. You just can’t help but love his no-holds-barred attitude towards music. When he goes up on stage, he gives it his all and the audience love him for it!

With his astonishingly accomplished guitar playing, Stevie Ray Vaughan ignited the blues revival of the ’80s. Vaughan drew equally from bluesmen like Albert King, Otis Rush, and Muddy Waters and rock & roll players like Jimi Hendrix and Lonnie Mack, as well as the stray jazz guitarist like Kenny Burrell, developing a uniquely eclectic and fiery style that sounded like no other guitarist, regardless of genre.

He may have gone too soon but his music will always live on.
