Steven Tyler Auctions Off Rare “Fastest Street-Legal Car” For Charity
You’ll Love Him More
Don’t you just love rock stars who give back to society? Steven Tyler, with his legendary voice and colorful ensemble, just did something that would blow anyone away – he sold his rare 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder for a whooping $800k (he bought it for $1.1M so it’s a real steal) and proceeds went to Janie’s Fund – a charity that helps young girls who suffered from neglect and abuse.
Apparently, the winning bidder won’t just get his sports car because Tyler also offered a vacation stay in his beautiful and luxurious home in Hawaii. And if that isn’t enough, he even included a guitar autographed by his band Aerosmith as part of the package.
In a statement, he said: “We raised enough tonight to provide 20,000 days of therapeutic support to abused girls across America. As a father to three daughters, a son, and now a grandfather, it broke my heart to learn that each year in America alone, 700,000 children are victims of serious abuse or neglect – and 68,000 will be sexually abused.
Together through Janie’s Fund, we’re helping girls rebuild their lives and overcome the trauma they experienced.”
Hats off to this guy!
