It’s called a Gayageum. And this chick freaking owns it. No, really though. Here she plays Mary Had A Little Lamb. Let’s be honest here…she makes it sound better than probably you and me on the guitar! LOL! We love when people upload videos of them covering classic rock icons like SRV!

“I had to increase the volume and pressure, develop tone and increase the sustain sound. And hoping to express the sound of gayageum more diversely like that of the guitar, I had to study guitar effectors and amplifiers and test them to see if they would fit to the sound of the gayageum. Playing modern music on a traditional instrument was not an easy process.”

It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to achieve that sound and play it beautifully. We’re fans of Luna Lee and how she manages to surprise us with each new cover she makes.
