We’re only a few days away from the long-awaited release of The Rolling Stone’s brand new album Blue and Lonesome. The anticipation will finally be laid to rest, and we can hear the awesome covers the band was able to compose on this gem. So far, the few tastes we’ve gotten have been nothing short of amazing. But, the newest sampler from the new album has us chomping at the bit for more!
The band released the song “Ride ‘Em On Down,” what appears to be their final sneak peek of the new album. The song is straight, hardcore blues and is littered with soul! The Stones pull off an authentic sound, that would make the original songwriter, Eddie Taylor, more than proud! It’s a delta blues classic that the band debut last month at Desert Trip, and now we finally get to hear the final product!
We’re so stoked to have the Stones back in our lives, and hope this new blues cover album will inspire them to write some new music of their own! Be on the look out because the new cover album from the Rolling Stones Blue and Lonesome releases December 2nd!
