Legends will usher in new legends
Every year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had the tedious task of deciding who they want to induct. After the inductions are announced, they decide who will have the honor of inducting the brand new legends into the Hall. Typically a friend or a current band who was inspired by the inductee will have the honor.
This year, the Rock Hall decided to allow a few fellow Hall of Famers to usher new bands into the brotherhood, or sister hood. Pearl Jam will be inducted by the great Neil Young. Young was a huge influence of Eddie Vedder’s career, so it will be a surreal moment for Vedder! Members of Rush, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, will induct Yes. The two bands were arguably two of the most influential progressive rock bands of all time! They are both very close as friends. Folk legend Joan Baez will be inducted by Jackson Browne.
The Hall plans to announce who will induct Journey, ELO, Tupac Shakur and Nile Rodgers in the near future.
