Robert Plant performs a revamped version of the Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love” and mashes it up with a cover of Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want To Make Love To You” during his appearance on the highly acclaimed TV concert series “Austin City Limits” on PBS. Backed by his band The Sensational Space Shifters, Plant ended his eight-song set with the mash-up that surely satisfied fans and new audiences alike. This is the first time Plant has returned to the TV show after 14 years with his first appearance dating back to 2003 during the program’s 28th season. The hour long episode also featured performances of songs from Plant’s latest album “Lullaby” which he recorded also with The Sensational Space Shifters.” This concert series appearance also kicked off Plant’s US tour of the southern states, named “Blues…Roots and Hollers (A Southern Journey) for his newest record. Plant says of his tour,

“I’m always eager to return to the hospitality of the Southern states. Towns and cities that hold fond memories for me personally, places that gave birth to so much of the music I love. Our recent travels have taken this wild whirlwind of a band through many incredible and inspiring places.”
