In remembrance of a legend!

Yesterday, the rock world took a major blow when they learned that jazz and guitar fusion legend Allan Holdsworth passed away at the age of 70. Allan treated us to some great music throughout his life, and his presence is definitely going to be missed.

In the wake of his passing, many tributes have arisen, and even something people haven’t heard yet has finally surfaced! Back in 1982, Eddie Van Halenjoined Allan on stage for a once in a lifetime duet! The moment took place at the Roxy Theater In Hollywood, California during Allan Holdsworth’s show. Midway through the set, Allan invited Eddie, who was a special guest, on stage and the two jammed an incredible duet!

Van Halen referred to Holdsworth as “the best in my books” and even added that he [Holdsworth] “is so damned good that I can’t cop anything. I can’t understand what he’s doing.”

The duet is incredibly groovy, and is the perfect blend of Allan’s jazz style, and Eddie’s hard rock vibe. If you’re a music fan of any genre, you’ll definitely enjoy this!
