I could literally stay here all day provided of course that Norman allows me to touch and try those beautiful, priceless and rare guitars. A man can dream, right? To say that it’s an impressive collection is a bit of an understatement. This first opened in 1975 in a small area in Los Angeles. And it didn’t take long for Norman’s reputation in collecting high quality, hard-to-find vintage guitars spread not just among fellow collectors but even to famous musicians and high profile celebrities. From Gibsons to Martins to Fenders — I’m having a tough time deciding which one to check out first if I ever step inside his shop.

“I love vintage guitars,” he says. “I didn’t start doing this to make money. In the beginning, I was conflicted over whether I should sell a cool guitar or keep it. I fell in love with every guitar I bought, but eventually I ended up needing to sell guitars to buy other guitars I was interested in. That’s how the business got started.” — Guitar Aficionado
