The mysterious case of Morrison
People have wondered for years the truth behind the death of Jim Morrison. In 1971 the world had to say goodbye to the lead singer of The Doors at the young age of 27 years old. Unfortunately, there was no autopsy performed on Jim, so the actual cause of his death has been pondered for years. However, we may have just cracked the case with this interview the manager of The Doors, Danny Sugerman, gave back in the day.
Jim vacationed to Paris with his girl friend Pamela Courson in March in 1971. They ended up quietly living there for months. Morrison shaved his beard, lost weight and went on long walks in solitude. Pamela found Jim dead in the bathtub on the morning of July 3rd, 1971.
Sugerman revealed that he believes Jim died of a heroine overdose, saying that he snorted it after he mistook it for cocaine. However, he was also told by Courson upon her return to the US that she herself killed Morrison. But, Sugerman truly holds that Jim died of an overdose.
There are some people that also believe that Jim is alive, and staged his own death. That conspiracy theory is false, but very creative!
So whichever theory you believe, just know that the person who was probably the closest to him, believes he died of a heroine overdose.
