Fleetwood Mac hit from best-selling album Rumours, “The Chain” was one of the many that stole the hearts of the world in 1976. As the song reveals the vulnerability between bandmates and ex-lovers Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, the honesty of the lyrics really resonated in the music scene and brought Fleetwood worldwide fame at the time.

Interesting Fact: This is the only Fleetwood Mac song credited to all 5 members of their 1977 lineup. Since various pieces were assembled to make the song, they all had some contribution.

Performing this extremely raw acoustic version of “The Chain” on a London TV show is this beautifully talented aging rockstar, belting out every inch of his soul possible that we know as the one and only Lindsey Buckingham. We have seen and heard several different performances of this particular song, but nothing adds up to the honesty in Lindsey’s facial expressions and passion in this short performance.
