Don’t mess with joe!

Joe Bonamassa is one of the most entertaining guitarists to see live. He’s pretty incredible, and his live shows are always meant to be an enjoyable experience for his fans. That’s the reason people go to concerts! To see the artist they love and have a great time doing it!

Concerts usually have bouncers to keep people in check and make sure things don’t get too out of hand. But sometimes, bouncers will abuse their power, and get too physical with fans. Joe Bonamassa recently saw this situation happen at his own show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and decided to take matters into his own hand.

Joe saw the altercation, went over, took off his guitar, and gave the bouncer a nice love tap with his axe! That’s right, Bonamassa hit the bouncer over the head with his rare 51 Fender No Caster! Granted, he probably nudged him, so it wasn’t meant to hurt the bouncer, but at least he got his point across and stood up for his fans. Bonamassa uploaded a picture to Instagram that detailed the event, and showed him hitting the bouncer! The caption read:

“To the bouncer who harassed one of our fans up front…that is why you can now tell your family and friends what a 51 Fender No-caster to the head feels like. Don’t ever put hands on my fans again. Consider that a love tap reminder.”Bonamassa wrote.
