How do you feel about this?

Quiet Riot fans, the time has finally come! The band has announced they are working on a comeback, but will have a new look to the band. Quiet Riot will officially tour with a new lead singer, after Jizzy Pearl (who was the third replacement for the late Kevin DuBrow who was the original lead singer) decided to exit the band late last year.

The band officially announced that former American Idol contestant James Durbin will be the band’s new lead singer! Durbin and guitarist Alex Grossi recently collaborated and developed a friendship that eventually led to Durbin being offered the gig.

“It was never the right timing, I suppose… I was in talks to join Quiet Riot last fall when Jizzy Pearl was leaving, but I had just signed on for a residency show in Las Vegas and unfortunately couldn’t make both gigs work at the same time. Fast-forward to last week, and I’m quickly learning the set and couldn’t be more excited to hit the stage… I believe everything happens for a reason, not just by chance. I’m very grateful for the opportunity.” Durbin said.

So far no tour or new album are planned, but we expect to hear about something soon!

Check out this interview with James down below, and welcome him to Quiet Riot.
