Everyone had to stop to watch!

DireĀ Strait’s classic hitĀ “Sultans of Swing is one of the greatest songs of all time. It’s easily one of the best guitar songs of all time, as it mixes so many styles of rock like blues, soft rock and pub rock. If you’re a guitarist, learning this song is a must-do!

One of the better covers we’ve seen of this song, is this cover by two Italian street performers. These kids took to the streets ofĀ Rome, Italy, whipped out some guitars, plugged into an amp and crushed an amazing cover of this song! What’s so great about this cover, is that they don’t really sing the lyrics of the song. They kind of just tail off and jam for a solid 10 minutes. One of them will keep the riff going, while the other would wander off into improv! It’s pretty innovative and masterful!

Fun Fact:This song is about guys who go to a club after work, listen to music and have a good time. They are there for the music, and not for the image presented by the band. The song was a marked change from the waning disco style and the nascent punk movement.

Check out the amazing cover of this song and let us know what you think!
