Hefner’s Children Share Rarely Seen Family Photos
Beyond a legacy that spans more than 60 years and a palatial home that mere mortals only dream of, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner leaves behind perhaps the greatest creation of all: his children. Proud father to four children – daughter Christie and sons David, Marston, and Cooper, Hefner was a fiercely devoted father who remained involved in the lives of his children until his last breath and who insisted that they play an integral role in continuing and growing the Playboy legacy.
In the days following their father’s death, Hef’s youngest sons Marston and Cooper have each taken to social media to remember their father in the best way they know how: by showing the world a rarely seen, extraordinarily tender side of the Playboy founder through a series of family photos taken in recent weeks and months. Whether it was just spending time with dad and soaking up the wisdom he had to share or battling it out in a fierce family game of Backgammon, the Hefner family loved nothing more than being together when time and schedules allowed.
Who Are Hugh Hefner’s Children?
More than just the heirs to Hugh Hefner’s fortune, the Hefner children were the Playboy founder’s pride and joy and integral parts of his legacy both as a man and an entrepreneur. Christie Hefner, 64, served as Playboy Enterprises Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 2009 and like her father, devotes much of her time and resources to various charity organizations.
Along with younger brother David Hefner, 62, who prefers to stay out of the limelight, Christie was born to Hugh Hefner and his first wife Mildred to whom he was married from 1949 to 1959.
Marston, 27, was born to Hefner and his wife, 1989 Playmate of the Year Kimberley Conrad. He’s a writer and gamer, and in a 2008 article with GQ it was revealed that Marston “had no interest in the rich and luxurious lifestyle his father led,” bitten by the public service bug and at one time serving as leader of the Human Rights Student Task Force.

At 26, Cooper Hefner is the baby of the family, the second child born to Hefner and Kimberley Conrad. He is the CCO (chief creative officer) for Playboy Enterprises, the founder and former CEO of the upstart media company Hop, and a member of the California State Military Reserve. He’s also the one that officially confirmed his father’s death via an official statement made earlier this week.
Our hearts go out to Christie, David, Marston and Cooper Hefner during this difficult time, and we hope they’re comforted by the knowledge that they were raised by a man who loved them beyond measure.
