Surprised It Works? So Is He!

We’ve seen guitars made from damn near everything. Frying pans, Harley parts, guns, shovels – so to see a full sized, fully operational microwave turned into a 6-string guitar isn’t outside the realm of possibility and it’s not all that surprising. What is surprising, however, is how incredible it sounds when played by master guitarist Victor Kucher, who filmed the process it took to convert a microwave into a guitar and the part everyone was waiting for – the actual test jam session that followed.

Y’all, we’re not kidding when we say that this microwave guitar sounds great; crafted by Dmitriy Sid (who’s turned everything from clothes racks to dry ramen noodles into working guitars – check out his Instagram!) the guitar plays like a dream, Pantera’s “Cemetery Gates” sounding as stellar as it would on a standard, run of the mill electric guitar, surprising even Victor who at one point looks at Dmitriy in surprise. Oh, and in case you were wondering?

Yes, it’ll even heat up your lunch.
