‘Gossip Girl’ Leighton Meester Channels Stevie Nicks with Her Cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’

Who knew the ‘Gossip Girl’ Upper East Side princess got some pretty cool pipes beneath those preppy dresses?

Leighton Meester, who plays lead character Blair Waldorf on the popular TV series ‘Gossip Girl’, duets with up-and-coming singer Dana Williams in a dreamy acoustic rendition of the timeless Fleetwood Mac classic “Dreams”. The song from their 1977 album Rumours was originally written and sung by Stevie Nicks and has sold over one million copies worldwide. Irish siblings sensation The Corrs also popularly covered the song.
It’s always a hit or miss when covering rock n roll royalty Stevie Nicks and Meester and Williams’ heartfelt unplugged version is definitely a hit. The two singers even blend solid harmonies and compliment awesome back-up vocals for each of their solos. The chill natural setting of the video even adds to the cool feel of the song.

As far as Fleetwood Mac covers go, this one ain’t that bad, it’s actually…pretty good!
