Good Quality Studio Version Of Neil Diamond’s “I Dreamed A Dream” | Society Of Rock Videos

“I Dreamed a Dream” was written by Claude-Michel Schönberg (for the music), Alain Boublil (for the French lyrics) and Herbert Kretzmer (for the English lyrics). It was originally sung by Rose Laurens who played the character of “Fantine” in the classic musical, “Les Misérables.”

After Fantine was fired, she started reminiscing about her past — the happy and sad moments. During such scene, she was so full of anguish.

Neil Diamond’s cover was among the most popular. He included it in his album, “Hot August Night II.” On the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, it ranked number 13 and was also given the 90th spot on the UK Singles Chart.
