They’ve made their final stand
Many fans have been waiting in the wings on the future of Rush. The band has been pretty iffy and vague on what the future holds, and on if people will have a chance to see them perform once again.
Well, bassist and lead vocalist Geddy Lee has confirmed what many thought to be the inevitable, and fans might be disappointed and heartbroken. He announced that Rush have pretty much decided to end touring for good, and that the plan of doing any one-off shows doesn’t seem like an option in the future.
“I think I’ve accepted that [R40 was] probably the last one as a tour. So we’ll see!” He also discussed the possibility of Peart signing up for a one-off show here and there: “Yeah. we send all those things, but the responses are not as enthusiastic. [Laughs] We talk.”– Lee revealed.
It’s pretty sad to see an era end, but at the same time, we understand where Rush is coming from. We would much rather see them ride off into the sunset happy, then drag their act on for many years and be intolerant of each other. There’s no way we could stand the members of Rush having a toxic relationship!
Anyway, check out one of Rush’s last performances down below!
