What I love about Foreigner’s ‘Juke Box Hero’ is the fact that it’s a song that resonates with the starstruck fan in all of us that saw the band that would change their life forever. I mean, songs like this are how roadies and band techs are born! There’s a magic in what bands and musicians do that mere mortals would do anything to touch, even for a moment. Foreigner understood that, and wrote ‘Juke Box Hero’ in dedication!

Written in 1981 for their album 4, ‘Juke Box Hero’ was written for that same kind of fan who waited in the rain – for 5 hours – to see Foreigner. The band took him backstage for soundcheck, an act of kindness that changed his life forever.

This live performance sums up that very magic. Foreigner is electric and the band as a whole works onstage like a well oiled machine! As much fun as the crowd is having, Foreigner is having even more fun and this performance of ‘Juke Box Hero’ almost seems like the band’s way of saying thank you for letting them live the dream.
