Ozzy would be proud!

David Letterman’s Late Show was always a late night favorite for any fan of talk shows. Letterman always booked the best of the best for his show, and had some of the most iconic musical performances in talk show history on his show!

One performance that you could consider as one of the best in talk show history is this performance by The Foo Fighters featuring Zac Brown. The two teamed up for a legendary cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” and it’s honestly one of the best covers of this song that we’ve ever heard! Zac Brown’s vocals fit amazingly into this song, and the extra guitars give the song the extra boom that it needs! But the best aspect of this cover, is Taylor Hawkins’ work on the drums! The drums are so powerful, on point and put this cover over the top!

Fact: This song is about man’s desire to kill and destroy. Sabbath got the idea from war stories they heard when they did a show at an American Air Force base during a tour of Europe. They wrote the song when they were in a grim deserted place in Zurich where they were playing for a small sum of money to an even smaller audience.

It’s extremely satisfying to see legends come together and crush a great classic song like this! We hope you enjoy this as much as we did!
