For some reason, less is more with this Brazilian acoustic duo Take Two. Singer Marina Costa and her guitarist Fernando Hideki take on ‘Mercedes Benz’ by Janis Joplin armed with only Marina’s gorgeous voice and Fernando keeping time against his guitar. Somehow, this works – considering ‘Mercedes Benz’ is a song about thinking that material things will somehow make life better or mold you into a better person, their minimalist approach to the classic is not only appropriate, but fits together beautifully!

Bobby took her for a ride in his new Mercedes, and she was impressed with the new car. After a few blocks, she started singing: “Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedez Benz…”
