Brandon Brings Jimi’s Legacy To NAMM Show!

Brandon Niederauer is 11 years old and plays the guitar like he was born with it in his hands. A bold statement to make for a kid barely out of elementary school, but it’s the absolute truth! Brandon appeared at NAMM early this year and joined by members of supergroup The Wimbish AllStars, proceeded to blow everyone away with his rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Voodoo Child (Slight Return)’.

I’ve watched this video several times now, and I see shades of both Jimi and Stevie Ray Vaughan in Brandon. He’s got Jimi’s fearlessness, bending the strings to his will and just going with it, and he’s got Stevie’s conviction and casual confidence as he rips his way across the fretboard of his Gibson Les Paul. He’s even got Stevie’s facial expressions!

Brandon’s Hope For The Blues:
